“We certainly service a wide range of industries for many different applications,”
said Burkard. “What’s most gratifying is that we not only help
save our customers money, but we also help them reduce risk and minimize
their environmental impact. Every product we sell is designed to benefit
the environment and decrease our carbon footprint – from protecting
soil and water, preventing gases from emitting into the air, to preserving
natural resources by reducing aggregate usage – it’s all about protecting
 the environment.”
Burkard said the company’s competitive advantage is that it not only
supplies the materials and installs it, but that it also helps design
customized solutions to its customers’ problems. This means that the
company is very customer-focused, and staff carefully listen to needs,
provide advice and technical expertise to ensure the proper selection of
 products for projects.
 Employee Share Ownership Plan
Last spring, Titan joined many influential and industry-leading companies
with the official launch of a company-wide Employee Share Ownership
Plan (ESOP). This plan makes it possible for employees to participate in
the long-term value growth of the business through the purchase of an
 ownership interest.
The company invested considerable time and resources to bring the
ESOP to fruition and sees this investment as key to taking the business to
the next level by attracting, retaining and developing the right people for
success. This plan is designed as the foundation for the company’s longterm
 success, team-building and collective prosperity.
As 2020 unfolds, Burkard notes that the company has several agriculturalrelated
projects lined up in Saskatchewan, which brings a special gratitude
since Titan has strong roots in that sector from its earliest days.
Titan has been a member of the Saskatchewan Heavy Construction
Association for several years and Burkard sees this as important to further
develop a presence in the province.
“A large portion of our customer base is general contractors in the
heavy construction industry that are members of this association, and
we see the association as a key player in keeping the industry connected
 – both suppliers and contractors. The events are very valuable
 networking opportunities.”
