Secondly, injured workers must advise
their treating medical care provider that
their company does have a return to work
program (which you should have), and that
this return to work program can and will
accommodate almost all medical restric-tions
a medical care provider issues.
Thirdly, employees should be told that
when they go to their care provider – and
that can be a medical doctor, physical ther-apist,
chiropractor, etc. – they must take a
company-provided return to work restric-tions
form with them for the care provider
to complete so the restrictions can be clear-ly
documented and the injured worker can
be returned to work in a safe and accom-modated
position.
